CTO on demand —
when you need it,
no fixed cost.

I support early-stage startups and scale-ups on critical technology decisions — without having to hire a full-time senior.

What I bring

Execution

I've built and scaled B2B SaaS products in production. I know the architectural decisions, the stack trade-offs, the first technical hire, and how to govern a team from 3 to 15 people.

Advisory

I help you avoid costly tech mistakes before they happen. Architecture, vendors, security posture, technical due diligence — with an independent point of view and no agenda.

Flexible engagement

Advisory call, monthly retainer, or flat-fee project. Start with a single session to test the fit — no long-term commitment, no fixed cost.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Fractional CTO?

A Fractional CTO is a senior CTO who works part-time or on an ongoing basis for one or more companies, rather than full-time for a single one. They bring the same technical and leadership expertise as an in-house CTO — architectural decisions, team management, technical roadmap — but with a commitment sized to what's actually needed, without the fixed cost of a full-time hire.

When does it make sense to hire a Fractional CTO instead of a full-time one?

Typically when the volume of technical decisions doesn't yet justify a full-time in-house role, or when you need a senior perspective for a defined period — validating an architecture, leading a technical due diligence, structuring the first engineering team. Many early-stage startups and scale-ups take this route until they reach a scale where internalising the role makes sense.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope and level of engagement — a single advisory call has a different cost than an ongoing monthly retainer. We discuss it on the first call, which is free and comes with no commitment.

How many hours do you dedicate per month?

It starts with a 1–2 hour advisory call to understand the context. If it makes sense to continue, we move to a monthly retainer — typically 4–12 hours a month, agreed upfront based on what’s needed.

Do I need to commit long-term?

No. You always start with a single session to test the fit. There's no obligation to continue — if the scope is done or it's no longer a fit, we stop with no friction.

Do you only work in person, or remotely too?

The work is mostly remote, with availability for in-person meetings across Northern Italy when useful. Geographic distance is rarely an issue for this kind of engagement.
